IADVL Maharashtra Press Meet Pune

IADVL Maharashtra completed a very successful Press meet at Press club of Pune which was well attended by approximately 20 news reporters. The press meet was addressed by Dr Dhananjay Damle, President IADVL Maharashtra, Dr. Jay Gupte Secretary IADVL Maharashtra, Dr. Narendra Patwardhan Senior Practising Dermatologist & past VP IADVL National and Dr. Aditya Holani Pune chapter of IADVL representative.
The event went on for more than an hour with a lot of interest shown by the media. Their questions ranged from our association’s agenda of unsafe Dermatology Practices to Quackery and also covered topics of steroid misuse, Dermatosurgery and Hair transplant surgeries being carried out by non-dermatologists. They were also made aware of treatments & procedures being blatantly carried out by beauticians & parlors. Even questions pertaining to lasers / botulinum toxin usage and who all should be doing them were raised and answered by our team.The media were also made aware of rules & regulations of NMC pertaining to RMP practises.
Our team was able to satisfactorily and elaborately answer all questions posed by media personnel. We feel that the purpose of the exercise was served well.
