Practising dermatologist meet was held on 4,5,6th october at Mahabaleshwar. Dr. Pravin banodkar explained role of PCOS in dermatology. Dr Mughda Mahajan gave a talk on basic life support and demonstrated the emergency management in dermatology. 5 young dermatologists participated in C.K jagaonkar award. On this auspicious day 23 August 2019 of Janmashtami, we were treated by grant medical college and JJ hospital , Mumbai by enriching us with the knowledge of dermatology. The clinical meet consisted of novel treatment options to conditions like rieter’s , pemphigus , mycetoma and Sle. Few rare confitions were also described beautifully . This meet was attended by approximately 80 doctors and residents .

2nd QSM

The quarterly scientific meet was conducted in hotel Rama international, Aurangabad on 30th June. It was organized by Maharashtra IADVL branch and Marathwada chapter of IADVL. Around 130 delegates from all over Maharashtra. The inauguration was done by Dr. Sharad Mutalik, Dr. Sharmila Patil, Dr. Ashish Deshmukh, Dr. Govind kale and Dr. Uday Khopkar The academic program consisted of a blend of practical topics and interaction with psychiatrist and endocrinologist with a panel discussion.

A lot is said about what Vitiligo is. Let’s see what it IS NOT - contagious, untreatable, always hereditary and a curse. Only by changing our outlook, will society change. And only then, we can overcome this obstacle. Because the only true trauma with vitiligo is psychosocial. And the onus is on US to help overcome it.
